Kevin or Kev Bartlett, who made his U.S. Formula 5000 debut in 1972 is
among the growing number of professional race drivers from "Down Under"
competing in the SCCA's L & M Championship series. In 1972 he
campaigned a Lola T300 in five of the eight races comprising the L & M
series, his best finish a fifth at Laguna Seca. Bartlett's prior U.S. racing
experience was in 1970 when he qualified for the Indianapolis and Ontario
500-milers. He began racing in Australia in 1957 in saloons, or sedans as
they are called in this country. He won the 1969 Macau Grand Prix, was the
Australian champion in 1968 and 1969 and is a regular Tasman Cup series
competitor
