TONY DEAN - Englishman and very much so the businessman. He’s in
a McLaren M14-ex Formula One car fitted with a Chevy plant for the
L&M series. Two years ago, startled the world by winning the Road
Atlanta Can-Am in a yellow Porsche 908 there by upsetting a long
McLaren domination. A car dealer in old Great Britain, Dean has been
a Can-Am regular and last weekend(1972), took part in the Watkins
Glen endurance run in his 908. Definitely a Firestone man all the way,
usually wears a hat. Dean McLaren No. 8, McLaren orange.
